OSBA Bridges to Achievement Project
Goals & Activities
The project has three goals:
- Enhance board leadership linked to improving K-12 student achievement.
- Develop and implement a model (e.g., systemic networks, professional development, and research services) that will sustain community engagement, collaboration and innovation, and the alignment of policies and programs to improve student achievement.
- Conduct research on the effectiveness of the model in improving K-12 student achievement.
Each project team has agreed to participate in major project activities including:
- Attend professional development activities in furtherance of project goals.
- Attend OSBA Annual Convention and up to 5 professional development/workshop activities per year.
- Develop and implement a work plan for their project team (with assistance of the project staff) related to community engagement, enhancing board leadership, promoting community engagement, collaboration and innovation, and aligning policies and programs to improve K-12 student achievement.
- Provide access to data related to the research.
